Branches

Our team is organized efficiently into several divisions that collaborate to achieve one common goal. We have several teachers and mentors that help us throughout the build season, while we students work in groups such as Robot Operations, Public Relations, Auxiliary Construction, and Information Technology.

Also see our Current Members page for a full listing.

Team Leadership

This position consists of two students and one teacher who manage the affairs of TechHOUNDS; they allow for smooth communication within the team and are the head organizers.

Student Leads: Adam Wilmes and Meera Chander
Faculty Lead: Mr. George Giltner

Robot Operations

This group builds the robot itself after a period of intense brainstorming and design. After the robot has been built, the programming team (also within this division) writes the code to maneuver the robot - and its appendages - around the playing field by remote control.

Student Lead: Charles Nepomuceno

Public Relations

The backbone of the TechHOUNDS itself, Public Relations handles fundraising, team photographs, locker signs, travel arrangements, food provision, and much more. Most notably, this group communicates to sponsors and organizations in our community through presentations and other media.

Student Lead: Alex Kramer

Auxiliary Construction

This division builds the playing field in which the robot's capabilities are tested. It also designs a custom crate for safe transportation of the robot.

Student Lead: Andrew Johnston

Webmaster

The Webmaster is in charge of overseeing the construction and updating of the website. The Webmaster serves an important role on the team by providing the communication link to the general public. The website team recently built this website from scratch.
